You Don’t Pray, You Don’t Complain

Complaining is a way of life, for some people.  “I don’t like this…”  “I don’t like that …”  “I wouldn’t do it that way.”  “They should do it this way…”  Wa!  Wa!  Wa!  Who likes to be around a complainer?  I know I don’t.  Unfortunately complaining can be contagious.  It is like a black hole that sucks you in.  Well I have a solution for you, pray.

During election time people say if you don’t vote you don’t have the right to complain about politics.  I think it should be, if you don’t pray for your country and the politicians, you don’t have the right to complain.

Isaiah 62:1 (NLT) says, “Because I love Zion, I will not keep still.  Because my heart yearns for Jerusalem, I cannot remain silent.  I will not stop praying for her until her righteousness shines like the dawn, and her salvation blazes like a burning torch.”  After reading this verse it dawned on me that I don’t pray enough for our awesome country, the United States of America.  I don’t pray enough for our current president, President Donald Trump.  I don’t pray enough for the House and the Senate.

Prayer 1

It’s time for me to change my prayer life.

Because I love America, I will not keep still.  Because my heart yearns for Imperial Beach, I cannot remain silent.  I will not stop praying for her until her righteousness shines like the dawn, and her salvation blazes like a burning torch.

Who is with me?

How much do you love the United States of America?

Let’s be like Isaiah and let’s not stop praying.  The complaining will actually stop because we will see the hand of God on our lives and the lives of the American people.  He moves when we pray.  Pray His word and it will go out and accomplish whatever we pray.

It’s up to us to “Make America Great Again!”
