Recently we all celebrated Easter which usually means family gets together, cooks, eats and communicate. Ours was especially nice since two of our three children came to our house. Since our children are adults it is hard to be all in one place all at one time. This year we came close to being the exception. Someday I would love to get all three kids in a room together.
As a Mom my family makes me happy so when I look at what our Heavenly Father did at Calvary I realize how excruciatingly painful it was for Him. He gave His one and only son to vile vicious people and didn’t rescue him. It sounds like a mean thing to do. On the contrary it was the most loving thing anyone has ever done. He sacrificed one for all. His one and only. We see a lot of bumper stickers that say “All Gave Some, Some Gave All” when referring to the military in our country. We believe this is a very noble phrase as it means our military people either give up parts of their body in service of our country or they gave up all of their body in death. Jesus gave all.
Then the miraculous happened! He came back to us on the third day. Just as He said He would do! He told us the truth. His word is the same yesterday, today and forever. He has never ever told a lie. He is always faithful. Because He was able to conquer hell and the grave He gave a pathway to get to heaven. He was able to take the keys of life and death away from Satan. He is now the key keeper.
Today in my reading I saw how there are blessings for all nations who honor the Sabbath and keep from doing wrong. (Isaiah 56) In Isaiah 57:2 “For those who follow godly paths will rest in peace when they die.” Isaiah 54:10 “…my faithful love for you will remain. My covenant of blessing will never be broken.” Forever without end is the love and blessings of our Lord. But you must put your whole life into His hands. Give yourself 100% to Him just as He gave 100% of Himself for us. Then when you’ve committed your life to the Lord you will naturally have the Recipe for a Happy Family.
Here is how to put your recipe together:
Mix the Love and Loyalty together with Faith. Add Tenderness and Forgiveness. Sprinkle with Friendship and Hope. Season abundantly with Laughter. Serve with Generosity.
Results: One Happy Family!
May the Lord bless you and your family abundantly,
